"Sabah" Football Academy was established on the basis of "Vatan" Football School. Since 2019, our academy has been cooperating not only in its own country, but also with the Croatian "Dinamo" Zagreb Football Academy, which is one of the well-known European football academies. Within the framework of cooperation, many teenagers and young footballers of the "Sabah" Football Academy, as well as specialists, have experienced in the academy of the Zagreb representative. As an academy, special attention is paid to regular participation of our teams in lower age groups in foreign tournaments. In recent years, our teams have visited Georgia, Turkey, Croatia, Belarus, Italy, etc. participated in various tournaments in countries such as The main goal of the "Sabah" Football Academy is to train players for the national teams of Azerbaijan, as well as the main team of "Sabah" FC. Today, the players of "Sabah" Football Academy are regularly invited to the national teams of the Azerbaijan national team consisting of different age groups. In addition, several students of our academy have been involved in our main team. At the same time, the development of every child who is a member of our academy not only as a football player, but also as an educated, intellectually literate, useful individual for society is our main priority.
The coordinator of "Sabah" Football Academy is Croatian expert Adino Mustedanagić. Mustedanagich is also the head coach of "Sabah" U-19 and substitutes team. The coordinator of our academy for younger age groups is an experienced specialist, Tabriz Hasanov.
The 2023/24 season was marked by historic results for our academy. Our U-19 team, competing in the Youth League, won the right to participate in the UEFA Youth League as a champion for the first time in its history. The core of the team of the champion team was made up of children who took their first steps in football in our academy in 2018, when our academy was first established. This season was also marked by the fact that "Sabah" was represented by a girls' team for the first time in the league organized by AFFA. The debut of our girls' team competing in the U-17 League was very successful. So, our girls managed to win a gold medal for the "Sabah" Football Academy in their first season. Our U-14, U-15 and U-17 teams finished the season in second place - with silver medals.
The 2022/23 season was also successful for the teams of our academy. Starting from this season, the results of the under-13 age group leagues held under the banner of AFFA have been cancelled. The teams of "Sabah" Football Academy finished all the leagues where the results were recorded with medals of various sizes. Thus, our U-13, U-15, U-16 and U-17 teams won gold medals, our U-14 team won silver medals, and our U-19 team won bronze medals.
The 2021/22 season was very successful for the teams of "Sabah" Football Academy. Thus, 7 of the teams of our academy in 9 age groups won medals of different sizes during the season. U-10, U-12, U-14, U-15 and U-16 ended the season with gold medals, and U-11 and U-19 with bronze medals.
It was not possible to hold the 2020/21 season in the leagues for lower age groups organized by AFFA due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Thus, in the mentioned season, competitions were held in only 2 age groups (17 and 19), and the U-19 team of "Sabah" finished the league in the second place - with a silver medal, as it was a year ago.
Although the 2019/20 season started successfully for the teams of our academy, the season was suspended in some leagues for lower age groups due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The U-17 team of "Sabah" Football Academy finished the league with a gold medal, and the U-19 team with a silver medal, just like a season ago.
"Sabah" Football Academy was established in 2018. The teams of "Sabah" Football Academy, established on the basis of "Vetan" Football School, performed successfully in their first season in the leagues for lower age groups, winning 3 golds (U-10, U-14, U-17), 2 silvers (U-11, U-17). -16) and finished with 1 bronze (U-15) medal.
