A historic achievement for “Sabah” – the “Golden Double”!

“Sabah” is enjoying the most successful season in the club’s history since its foundation. This season, our club won both major titles available at senior team level. Having secured the championship for the first time in its history with four rounds remaining in the Misli Premier League, “Sabah” also lifted the national cup.

The team, led by head coach Valdas Dambrauskas, faced “Zirə” in the decisive match. After falling behind during the game, the “Owls” produced a comeback in the second half thanks to brilliant goals from Patrick Orfe Mbina and Joy-Lance Mickels, winning the final 2:1.

It should be noted that “Sabah” also won the national cup last season. With this season’s achievements, the number of trophies in our club’s museum has risen to three — 1 league title and 2 national cups.
