Our head coach Valdas Dambrauskas and forward Pavol Šafranko shared their thoughts on tomorrow's match during the pre-match press conference ahead of the game against Celje.
Valdas Dambrauskas:
"Tomorrow we have a very important match ahead of us. I believe it will be a very exciting encounter. In the last game, we found ourselves in a tough situation — we conceded in the final seconds and lost our advantage. But I believe that in European competitions, the outcome is decided over two matches, not one. You can't progress to the next round based on just a single game.
No matter what — even if the first leg had ended 2–2 — we would still need to win tomorrow’s match. We have analyzed the opponent thoroughly. We've had three very good training sessions over the past few days, and our trip went smoothly. We’ll have one more session today. We've repeatedly reviewed and analyzed what the opponent did in the first match and what mistakes we made.
Now it's time to correct those mistakes, improve, and believe in ourselves. We have to trust that it’s in our hands to change the outcome."
Pavol Šafranko:
"Yes, on behalf of the players I can say that we are well-prepared. As our coach mentioned, we’ve had very good training sessions over the last three or four days. We've tried to learn as much as possible from the previous match.
Now we want to carry all the energy we've gathered in these last few days into tomorrow’s game. I can promise that once we step onto the pitch, each of us will give 100%."
