Vasili Berezutski: "My team showed character today"

The 1/8 final stage of the Azerbaijan Cup has come to an end. "Sabah" advanced to the quarterfinals after defeating "Turan Tovuz" in a penalty shootout. Following the match, our head coach, Vasili Berezutski, shared his thoughts:

"First of all, I want to thank my players. They showed character today. The game was very difficult. The artificial turf also played a role in that. Despite this, the team managed to win this tough match. Advancing past this stage was very important for us. I wish a speedy recovery to 'Turan Tovuz's' injured player, Denis Marandić."
